For the past few weeks now the Republican party has been doing what it does best. When all else fails, they simply play the sleaze card.
I came across a very “in your face” op-ed from NYTimes.com entitled Running While Black.

You know I got something to say about this. This is like giving a steak to a dog, I got something to say about this. I thank you and the author of the Op-Ed piece in the NY Times.
John McCain is getting increasingly desperate each day. Why don’t they stick to the issues. I can’t wait for the debate. I hope the one that’s coming to Nashville is a presidential debate and not the vice-presidential debate. You know I’m going to be there if all possible.
He seems not to understand that the tactics he’s pulling will not work this time. I still say the underground motto of the campaign should be “No Weapon form against me shall prosper”, because nothing Hillary tried worked, and nothing McCain is trying is working. Wasn’t he watching the primary race?
What he doesn’t understand is that he’s not just going up against Obama, but a force more powerful than one man.
If you can excuse the slang, “McCain Better Recognize”. You know I’m ready for this.

Surreal, offensive, and bizarro — how low will McCain go, when he starts off this low already?
More Times editorials on them sleazy merchants cited at my blog if you’re interested.

McCain desperate? I doubt it. Have you been looking at the polls? A statistical dead heat. And McCain didn’t have to go on a glamour tour of Europe either. Oh, and when it comes to desparation, Obama now supports drilling for oil. But, of course for Obama it’s a “refinement in policy” not a flip-flop. It’s only a flip-flop when it’s a republican.

I’m an Obama supporter, but you HAVE to realize that McCain’s smear campaign IS working. I hate it, but it’s true, look at the daily tracking.
Fact is, Obama better recognize, or he’s going to lose just like Kerry did four years ago. He damn well better start playing hardball – this is a Presidential election, not a freakin’ Civics lesson.

WTH is mikey talking about. What polls are you looking at? I’m always amazed how ignorance insist on being seen and heard in any forum. Come to the light mikey before it’s too late.
When Republicans such as the author of the “Contract with America Larry Hunter, Armstrong Williams and other far right leaning Republicans endorses Obama something has gone very wrong with the party.
Face It. Members of your own party are talking about McCain’s tactics. But you want to be sarcastic.
My advice for the Republican Party and those members who are silent need to evaluate the consequences their actions and votes has had on the lives of people throughout this world in terms of the effectiveness of the policy and conduct of the man they elected.
You can say or think whatever you want, but you can’t deny that McCain IS TAKING the low road, a road often taking by Republicans and Democrats who has no strategy. I think we’ve seen these polls a few months ago with Hillary Clinton. Those polls were working too, that’s why he’s the nominee. So keep on relying on your polls. This is not your typical election.
So mikey I know you want John to win, but you have to admit that he’s running a Karl Rove styled campaign. Vastly different from his campaign in 2000.

After Election: First off let me state that I am not a Obama supporter. I dont even live in the U.S although I am a Canadian and proud of that I may add. I do believe that decision made in the U.S will affect myself and other Candians. With that said all else I have to say is the Barack Obama may have won the presidiental fight but he is not going to win the war. Praise be to JESUS!
